Martin Aurore

Martin Aurore holds a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Research degree in History: Les Saint-simoniennes theories and practices of emancipation put to the test in the 1830s, defended in 2013 in Nantes under the direction of Clément Thibaud. In 2016, she became responsible for the application of research data for the STARACO programme (STatus, RAce and COlour in the Atlantic Area), for which she is producing documentary kits for secondary school teachers on the themes of the slave trade, slavery and métissage in the Atlantic area between the 16th and 19th centuries. As part of the same project, between 2013 and 2017, she frequently made scientific presentations on the links between social classes, “Race” and gender, and on teaching the slave trade and slavery in high school.
