Barral-Baron Marie

Marie Barral-Baron holds a doctorate in modern history from the University of Paris-Sorbonne and is a lecturer at the University of Franche-Comté. A specialist in Erasmus, evangelical humanism and the history of the Reforms, she has notably published L’Enfer d’Érasme (Erasmus’ Inferno). L’humaniste chrétien face à l’histoire (Geneva, Droz, 2014, Prix Monseigneur Marcel de l’Académie française in 2015). Her current research focuses on the history of ideas and the political and cultural history of the first half of the 16th century, in particular on the political influence of evangelical humanists in the princely courts of Europe.
